Round-up is a non-profit organization working to increase charitable donations in Israel. The organization was established in 2008 by Orni Petruschka, Yaakov Burek and Yehoshua Agasi, as a way of enabling everyone to donate easily to nonprofits and NGOs that operate in a range of social fields.
In order to achieve this goal, partnerships were established with credit card companies in Israel, and a mechanism was created whereby everyone can make an automatic donation of a few shekels each month, which collectively builds up to an incredibly effective contribution.
All the donations are sent to the charities chosen by our “Rounders”, from a list of 255 associations that undergo a meticulous process of filtering and supervision to ensure transparency, so that each donor can choose the causes close to his or her heart and donate securely.
Thanks to hundreds of thousands of individual “Rounders”, as well as companies that facilitate rounding up of salaries, Round-up has become a central player in support and help for the third sector in Israel.
Round-up is part of an international initiative, Round-up International, founded as a social movement in which people can bring about unprecedented positive social change.
Israel was chosen as the global pioneer to implement the mechanism, and the Israeli model is now a center of knowledge for similar initiatives all over the world.
